Save Austin Music Gala Fundraiser: on Friday, October 17th in Austin
posted in Charity Event [more from this topic] by christine_gtkj on Wednesday, October 08, 2008 @ 09:06:00 CDT
Save Austin Music is a new grassroots organization started in Austin Texas by Troy Dillinger. The Music Industry is in trouble, and the working musicians who bring us live entertainment in the "Live Music Capital of the World" are suffering. Although this is a nation-wide phenomenon as less people come out to see live music, it is particularly apparent in a city whose ambience was created by the artists who live here. The attraction of the high tech industry to Austin as a choice location to work and live is due in part to this ambience, and we’d like to invite Austinites out to come see the musicians who serve the community and helped create Austin’s unique culture.
